ARLIS/NA Northwest Chapter Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington, November 7-8, 2014
We hope you can join us in Seattle for an interesting two days of tours, presentations, meetings and socializing with colleagues from museum, public and academic libraries. Importantly, this is a chance for us to meet regarding the upcoming joint VRA/ARLIS Conference in Seattle in 2016.
Schedule At-a-Glance
Day One: Friday, November 7th:
- 9:30-10:00am Registration/Meet and Greet, Alvord Board Room, Asian Art Museum
- 10-11:30am Business Meeting, Alvord Board Room, Asian Art Museum
- 11:30-12:30pm Tour of the McCaw Foundation Library for Asian Art and the Wyckoff Teacher Resource Center, Asian Art Museum
- 12:45-2pm Lunch at Vios Café
- 2-3pm Take #12 bus to First Hill
- 3-4:30pm Tour of the Stimson-Green Mansion
- 4:30-6pm Take #2 bus or walk to Seattle Art Museum, free time
- 6pm-?? Happy Hour/Dinner TBD
Day Two: Saturday, November 8th:
- 10-11:30am: Tour of the Hugh and Jane Ferguson Seattle Room/Special Collections at the Seattle Public Library Central Branch
- 11:30am-1pm: Lunch on your own
- 1-2pm: Presentation: “Outreach for Outposts: Creating a Visual Identity for the UO Portland Library and Learning Commons” by Bronwyn Dorhofer, Access Services and Outreach Librarian, University of Oregon Portland Library & Learning Commons
- 2-4pm: Tour of City Dwellers and Pop Departures, Seattle Art Museum
