We are headed to T-Town or The City of Destiny as the locals say, but for those of you unfamiliar with these nicknames; to Tacoma, Washington for our Fall Meeting.
The University of Puget Sound Collins Memorial Library will be hosting our visit which is designed to showcase local talent and art as well as focus on library outreach and collaboration. The University is located in the North End of the City and easily accessible to I-5. Click here to learn more about the university and the surrounding area: https://www.pugetsound.edu/
The program is described below and we have left open the hour of 12:45 to 1:45 for you, our members, to submit topics for a lightning round. Since this is a joint VRA and ARLIS/NA meeting we want to be sure that all professional interests are represented. Please email jcarlin@pugetsound.edu if you would like to participate.
If you are unfamiliar with Tacoma and seeking lodging we recommend the following hotels. Be sure to mention you are attending an event at the University of Puget Sound and you should receive a slightly discounted rate.

Abby Williams Hill (1861–1943) was a painter and activist with an insatiable love of travel and learning. Just as her artwork provides us with a lasting vision of many of the iconic sights of the American West, her papers paint a remarkably rich picture of American life between the Civil War and World War II. Puget Sound holds both her paintings and her archival collection.
